Q: What insurance is included for the Hire period?
A: Fully comprehensive insurance is included for the main driver age 25-70 years with a minimum of 2 years driving experience and a maximum of 6 penalty points and who has completed the necessary DVLA vehicle licence checks.
Q: Can additional drivers be added to the policy?
A: Yes the cost is £5 per driver per day.
Q: What is the insurance deposit, what is it used for and when is it returned?
A: The insurance deposit of £750.00 is required to be paid by credit card, bank transfer or cash prior to any rental period and is in addition to the rental amount quoted. This is to cover any damage costs to the van Eg: broken/damaged items, van left in an unsuitable re-rental condition, under fuelled or in the event of any unpaid fines or vehicle accident. The deposit is returned to the hirer within 14 days of return of the vehicle.
Q: Do I need to take out my own insurance?
A: As with any holiday we would advise you take out holiday cancellation insurance and personal possession cover for your belongings. Insurance excess cover is also recommended.
Q: Where can I travel with the motorhome?
A: Anywhere is mainland UK & Northern Island.EU travel is strictly prohibited.
Q: Do I need experience to drive a motorhome?
A: Motorhomes are bigger than household cars and do require more care and attention when driving and recommend guidance when reversing where reasonably save to do so but they have power steering and are generally quite easy to get used to driving.
Q: Can I bring my dog?
A: Yes you can, we are pet owners ourselves and allow 1 medium or 2 small dogs but please read our terms and conditions with regards to pets.
Q: What happens if I breakdown?
A: The motorhomes are covered by full UK breakdown cover in the event of a breakdown.
Q: What documents do I need to rent a motorhome from Vantastic Holidays?
A: We will need to see a current UK driving licence or equivalent EU/Foreign driving licence together With 2 forms of address dated less than 3 months old and a passport.
Q: How do I book a Motorhome from Vantastic Holidays?
A: Upon receipt of your booking enquiry request, we will require the main drivers licence to be checked against the DVLA driver licence history so will need you to fill out a Vantastic holidays booking form. Once completed and approved we will then require a deposit to secure your booking or if your holiday is within 6 weeks we will require full payment to secure your booking together with 2 proofs of address dated within the last 3 months .Upon hire we will need to see the actual hirer’s drivers licence to be copied for our files as required by our insurance provider.
Q: What is your cancellation period?
A: More than 6 weeks before: booking deposit only which is 20%.
6 weeks – 2 weeks prior to departure weeks: 50% of total hire charge
2 weeks – date of departure or no Show: 100% of total hire charge
Q: What time can I collect and drop off the motorhome?
A: Our collections are generally Fridays from 4pm till 6pm unless otherwise arranged, drop off is at 10am on the last day of hire. Please allow an hour for both collection and return handovers.
Q: How do I have my driver’s licence details checked?
A: We require all proposed driver(s) licence history to be checked via the DVLA driving licence history authorisation codes. This is required for insurance purposes.

To get your unique code please either go to the website or you can call 0300 083 0013 and the DLVA will give you your code over the phone. You will need your driver’s license and National insurance number handy for the website and your address details for the telephone service.
Please note that this is for UK License holders only and that your unique code is valid for 21 days.
Your unique code will then allow us to check your driving history.
You can also call the DVLA on 0300 790 6801 and you can give permission to the DVLA for us to call them and ask about your driving license.
Q: I don’t have any pets and have allergies, can I still rent your motorhome?
A: Yes but as long as you are aware that people may have hired the Motorhome prior to you and may have had pets with them.
We always ensure the cleanliness of our motorhome is to a high standard for any new user prior to hire.
